ZHOU YINNING
Prof. ZHOU joined the University of Macau (UM) in 2021 and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering, UM, and a Deputy Researcher at the Advanced Materials Research and Development Center, Zhuhai UM Science and Technology Research Institute. With a strong multidisciplinary background in biological sciences, physics, nanomaterials, and microfluidics, Prof. Zhou’s research is focused on leveraging acoustic microfluidic systems and biosensor platforms to address critical challenges in biomedical clinical applications.
Research Focus: Acoustofluidics; Biosensor; Single Cell Analysis; Other research includes but is not limited to tissue engineering & organoid development with bio-transfer printing, acoustic intelligent single-cell population control, as well as intelligent biosensing platforms, etc.

Yifu Chang, PhD Student
Yifu Chang is from Xingtai, Hebei Province, China. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, at Peking University. He has been a PhD student in Prof. Zhou’s Lab at the University of Macau since Sept. 2021. His current research focuses on Impedance based cell & bacteria sorting, and ultra-rare bacteria sorting.

Yue Quan, PhD Student
Yue Quan is from Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China. She obtained her Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Sichuan University. She is a PhD student in IAPME at University of Macau since Aug 2022. Her current research interest is the applications of flexible electronic sensors in biology.
Research Focus: Biosensor, Flexible electronics, Magnetic sensor

Yuxin Wang, PhD Student
Yuxin Wang is from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tianjin University. He has been a PhD student in Prof. Zhou’s Lab at University of Macau since Sept. 2023. His current research focuses on AI-driven single-cell analysis via ultra-low frequency acoustic manipulation.

Yu Liu, PhD Student
Yu Liu comes from Xinjiang, China. He obtained his master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Jilin University. He is a PhD student at University of Macau since Aug 2022. His research interest mainly focuses on acoustofluidics (such as micro/nano particle and biomaterials manipulation), bioprinting, lab-on-chip and application in biological and biomedical fields.

Runxing Lin, PhD Student
Runxing Lin is a PhD student in Applied Physics and Material Engineering at the University of Macau. She received her Master of Medicine degree in Pharmacology from Guangzhou Medical University. Her research interests include flexible electronics, computational biology, biomedical materials, etc.
Research Focus: implantable flexible electronics, biomedical materials

Ziyu Huang, PhD Student
Ziyu Huang is from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. He obtained his MSc Degree in Fermentation Engineering from Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). He is a PhD student at University of Macau since Sep 2023. His current research interests in acoustofluidics, cell manipulation and particle/cell patterning.

Shizheng Zhou, PhD Student
Shizheng Zhou is from Ningde, Fujian Province, China. He obtained his MSc Degree in Hainan University. He is a PhD student in IAPME at Universityof Macau since Aug 2024. He is currently pursuing research in cell deformation, impedance characterization, and microfluidic sorting.

Wencan Luo, PhD Student
Wencan Luo is from Maoming, Guangdong Province, China. Having completed a joint Master‘s training program between Wuyi University, China, and Washington State University, USA, he is currently a PhD student in IAPME at University of Macau since Sep 2023. His research focuses on the development and application of radiative cooling functional materials.

Quansheng Cheng, PhD Student
Quansheng is from Henan Province, China. He joined the University of Macau in September 2021 after completing his Master’s degree from the School of Basic Medical Sciences at Jilin University in July 2021. He has demonstrated research enthusiasm and remarkable practical scientific capabilities. His research focus specialized in tumor immunotherapy based on carbon quantum dots and cellular pyroptosis.

Yuhang Yang is from Dazhou, Sichuan Province, China. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Department of Chemistry, at Renmin University of China. He is a MSc student in Advanced Material at University of Macau since Aug 2024.
